Kindness

kindness [ˈkaɪndnɪs]

n
  1. the practice or quality of being kind
  2. a kind, considerate, or helpful act
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ~Leo Buscaglia
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ~Dalai Lama
I’d like to challenge anyone who reads this to think about it and try to put a little kindness into your every day routines.
  1. Smile at a stranger - It could be the person behind the checkout counter at the grocery store or just someone you pass by on a walk. Remember, you don’t know what their day has been like and your smile could make it better.
  2. Take time to listen - Sometimes a friend just needs someone to talk to.
  3. Share - It’s more fun to do something or eat a meal with friends than by yourself, right?
Do you have any other ideas on how to add kindness to your daily life?
