A week of planning and ceiling messes and surprises!

Last week was probably one of the busiest and funnest (yes, I said funnest) week I've had in a really long time. I was lucky to have my best friend visiting to keep me on my toes and moving towards what needs done. :)

Beginning
Airport and driving. Exhaustion hit both of us before we even got started! Nap time! But after that, it was video games and a bit of Masquerade Ball planning. Oh, and more games - yay for Lego Pirates of the Carribean!

Middle
We've been busy! Lots of last minute stuff needed done. Some of the things we worked on were cards, pens and a basket. Of course, this is involving cutters, sticky tape and feathers. Love crafting - and Anna has the best ideas!

Craft time!
So, after a dinner of tortellini and sweet corn, Anna and I began cutting and taping away. I beaded a bit and added some feathers. We got a good start on our crafting. While doing this, we watched our favorite movie - Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Jade got quite annoyed with us since we quoted about every other line. Yay for Robin Hood!

While we're taking care of fun stuff. Jon and Gabe are getting covered in nasty 100 yr old plaster dust as they tear out the ceiling. This crappy job is the beginning of a project to build a support wall. And I imagine it sucks - a lot, given the amount of crap they're in the middle of.
Is there a hole in our ceiling?
We took a little break and went upstairs for a snack. Schweddy Balls are the best and we enjoyed them immensely before getting back to work and sitting down with Castle. More cutting and taping and ribbon and ruggedly handsomeness.
Mmmm - Schweddy Balls
End
All of this culminated in what is probably the best day of my life. October 29, 2001 is when Gabe and I shared our recent marriage (July 15) with our family and friends at a costume Masquerade Ball (wedding reception). The weather was exceptional, photographer worked magic, friends and family we haven't seen stopped in for a bite of delicious cake and some music. Plus there was big hair, curly hair, a bit of sexiness, fake eyelashes and the feeling of being a princess.
Dancing!

Epilogue
After the week off work, I came to work on Halloween dressed in my wedding dress and my co-workers surprised me an Gabe with a really fun wedding shower.
Wedding Shower

Yes - this was the best week, plus some, ever. :D More photos will be forthcoming!
